ICON plc is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer with strong R Shiny experience to design and maintain interactive dashboards for clinical studies in the United Kingdom. You will deliver scalable, well-documented R code and collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and project leads to drive efficient, compliant data analysis.

Applicants should have 5+ years in statistical programming, experience with CDISC standards, and proficiency in Python or SAS.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of statistical programming in pharma, biotech or CRO.
• CDISC SDTM/ADaM experience with Tables, Listings and Figures (TLFs).
• Practical R Shiny development experience; dashboards, UI/UX, debugging and performance optimization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Python, SAS or other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain R Shiny apps for study monitoring and data visualization.
• Develop modular, scalable and well-documented R code.
• Create interactive dashboards for cross-functional teams.
• Optimize app performance, security and usability in regulated environments.
• Ensure compliance with CDISC standards and SOPs.
• Provide R and Shiny technical expertise.
• Mentor junior programmers and share knowledge.
• Participate in study meetings and advise on programming solutions.
• Improve statistical workflows through automation and modern practices.
• Collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and project leads.
