Job summary

Premier Research in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior R Programmer/ Shiny Developer to join our Biostatistics team. You will design and maintain interactive R Shiny applications that support clinical trial activities and large-scale data analysis.

You will collaborate with statisticians and data scientists, optimize performance, and develop reusable modules. Experience with AWS S3 or Azure Data Lake and regulatory standards is valued; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, CS, Math, or Data Science required.
• 5+ years programming in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• 3+ years hands-on R, RStudio, and RShiny experience in clinical data.
• Experience integrating Shiny apps with cloud data sources (AWS S3/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain interactive R Shiny apps for clinical trial data.
• Create user-friendly apps for statistical review, exploration, QC, and reporting.
• Develop reusable Shiny modules and frameworks for consistency.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and usability of apps.
• Provide technical consultation on R, Shiny, and open-source tech.
• Support study teams with programming activities on projects.
