Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED in Reading is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Manager to join the firm's specialist Innovation & Technology Group. You will oversee end-to-end R&D and Patent Box claims, advise clients and work within a high-performing team on complex, high-value advisory projects.

The role offers leadership of engagements, mentoring junior staff and collaboration with senior tax, technical and client stakeholders, with progression opportunities within the Corporate M&A Tax team.

Qualifications

• Degree-educated and CTA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and complex projects.
• Strong leadership, commercial awareness and client-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and reviewing R&D and Patent Box claims from planning through to submission.
• Managing client relationships, billing, risk and quality control.
• Project managing complex engagements and supporting HMRC enquiries.
• Collaborating with senior tax, technical and client stakeholders.
• Mentoring junior team members and developing future leaders.
