Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead a busy sand and gravel operation in Cheshire. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own site performance, safety, production and continuous improvement, acting as the right-hand person and stepping into full leadership in the manager's absence.

You'll have a background in aggregates or heavy industrial processing, strong health and safety leadership, and a track record of coaching teams and driving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in quarrying or heavy industrial processing.
• Proven health, safety leadership in safety-critical environments.
• Experience managing production performance, budgets and KPIs.
• Qualify with IOSH/NEBOSH or Quarry Technology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the quarry.
• Drive health, safety and environmental culture.
• Manage production performance, quality and efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop operational teams.
• Collaborate with maintenance to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
• Manage budgets, KPIs and operational reporting.
• Ensure legislative and company compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
• Act as senior operational leader when Operations Manager is away.
