Job summary

VolkerStevin is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial matters on a key Sizewell C site.Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage surveyors, forecast costs, and oversee procurement to optimise profit. You will ensure contract compliance and timely communications across Main and Sub-Contracts, while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires an accredited RICS/CIOB/ICES path or equivalent QS degree, with substantial senior experience in civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional qualification (RICS/CIOB/ICES) and QS degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering projects is essential.
• Proven ability to manage procurement, contracts and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost management, forecasting and value reporting on site.
• Lead procurement to secure subcontracts on time and within policy.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment applications and notices.
• Mentor surveyors and support site team on commercial matters.
• Ensure contractual notices and variations are promptly issued and recorded.
