About The Role

A leading joint venture delivering high-speed rail infrastructure projects seeks a reliable and meticulous Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Milton Keynes. This role focuses on preliminaries, ensuring accurate cost management and smooth project progress.

Location: Milton Keynes, UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for preliminaries within a major high-speed rail construction project.
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and variations for preliminaries.
  • Process subcontractor quotations and manage subcontractor accounts for preliminaries.
  • Assist with contract administration tasks related to preliminaries, ensuring meticulous record keeping.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and identify potential cost risks associated with preliminaries.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on prelim-related matters.

While this role is not directly involved in high-profile construction activities, it plays a vital role in ensuring the project runs smoothly.
