Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS)
Location: Manchester city centre, hybrid flexible working (minimum 2 days a week in the office) - covering North West
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (inclusive of car allowance) + annual bonus + generous private pension + life assurance + private healthcare + access to flexible company benefits scheme.

Are you a PQS Quantity Surveyor seeking a role where you can choose how to progress your career? Whether that be as a sector specialist or someone that operates across multiple areas of the business, they are an employer that doesn’t use a one-size-fits-all approach to career development. An opportunity working with highly reputable private/commercial sector clients within a global multidisciplinary firm. Do you want to work for a business that has delivered award-winning, multimillion-pound city centre developments?

The Opportunity
A global real estate and development consultancy servicing a broad range of clients across services such as planning, development, asset management, lease advisory, project management, and strategic business advice.

In Manchester, they have a growing projects team of around 30 professionals including Project Managers, Building Surveyors, and PQS Quantity Surveyors. They deliver industry-leading solutions for large-scale developments with project values around £200 million, focusing on infrastructure, mixed-use residential, commercial offices, and logistics projects.

Their flexible working approach allows individuals to operate across multiple sectors or focus on specialist areas, depending on their preference. The team follows a hybrid working model with a minimum of two days in the office per week, generally opting for more office time but accommodating remote work preferences. With over 100 offices worldwide, they combine industry experience with innovation to shape the future of commercial real estate.

Duties include:

  • Engaging in meetings with clients, collaborating within diverse professional teams, and overseeing project execution.
  • Assessing financial aspects and providing guidance on alternative solutions.
  • Managing contractual agreements and defining conditions for construction projects.
  • Overseeing cost factors related to construction techniques, material selection, project scale, and quality to maintain financial control.
  • Preparing detailed tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining quality standards across all project phases.

MRICS qualification is highly desirable, but they will also consider individuals qualified by experience.
