Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: South Coast - Hampshire

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £65K - £70K + package

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor based in Hampshire, currently experiencing growth due to recent contract wins. The role involves working on planned maintenance and refurbishments within Social Housing, for Local Authority and Housing Association clients.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and handling daily commercial issues.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial expertise, including valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data.
  • Support the authorization and submission of project variations.
  • Maximize cash flow through control and valuation of work, invoicing, and payments.
  • Manage and develop junior team members.
  • Value work by subcontractors and certify payments.
Essential experience:
  • Degree or technical qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience with a main contractor.
  • Proven track record of delivering contracts on time and within budget.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management.
