Job summary

Binnies (RSK Group) is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Peterborough team, supporting Anglian Water’s AMP8 capital programme. This role focuses on robust commercial management and cost control across multiple projects, with clear accountability for financial reporting and cost assurance.

You will work with the Delivery Team to implement efficiency plans, maintain final accounts records, and drive commercial performance through leadership and rigorous contract understanding.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cost management.
• Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, management, or cost-related discipline preferred.
• Passion and drive for a career in Commercial Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for a project or group of projects, as designated by the Project Commercial Manager.
• Ensure robust cost management processes are in place, with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
• Ensure all project team members (including site staff) understand contractual arrangements to satisfy Client and Partner organisation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the Delivery Team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure proper records (including final accounts) are maintained so financial information is readily available for audits and cost assurance.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be considered for this role, you’ll have extensive experience in cost management. A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, management, or cost-related discipline is beneficial, but your passion and drive for a career in Commercial Management is most important.

You’ll bring first‑class customer service and leadership skills, a strong understanding of construction and safety, and the confidence to challenge processes, practices, and norms to continuously improve the commercial performance of the business.
