Job summary

RecruitMe in Warrington is seeking a Senior/Lead Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on refurbishment, retrofit and decarbonisation projects in the social housing sector. You will drive cost control, valuations, final accounts and client negotiations while supporting delivery teams to keep programmes on track and profitable.

You will oversee procurement, reporting and governance, mentoring QS staff and collaborating with operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong background in social housing refurbishment, retrofit or decarbonisation.
• Experience working on compliance-led programmes.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility for refurbishment, retrofit and decarbonisation programmes within the social housing sector. The role involves leading commercial strategy, managing cost control and risk, and supporting delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and profitably.

• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to lead teams and influence delivery outcomes
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• RICS accreditation desirable but not essential
