Job summary

We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will have experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, such as HS2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team of commercial staff, carrying out tasks independently.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
• Monitor project costs against targets and contract progress.
• Contribute to change control procedures, including EOT, delays, and performance adjustments.
• Prepare and agree interim and final valuations and accounts.
• Issue certification and payments for sub-contractors.
• Provide contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes effectively.
• Identify potential commercial risks and develop strategies for their management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Membership or pursuit of membership in a professional institution such as RICS or CICES.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, delivering positive commercial outcomes.
• Strong listening, learning, and mentoring skills for junior team members.
