Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Glasgow team on a permanent basis. You will implement best commercial practices to maximize profitability on medium to large projects and manage a team of QSs while ensuring compliance with contract terms.

Responsibilities include cash flow forecasting, cost monitoring, procurement support, and final account negotiations. A BSc or equivalent is preferred, with English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent, plus the ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• Experience managing the commercial aspects of medium to large MEP/construction projects.
• English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
• Relevant BSc/degree or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Safety first in all project activities.
• Lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors as needed.
• Review and interpret contract terms, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to all contract aspects and liaise with project teams on status.
• Identify and manage the agreement process for changes to contractual obligations.
• Take charge of cash flow forecasting and manage payments submissions and receipts.
• Monitor and forecast costs and revenue throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the procurement and management of subcontractors.
• Provide accurate reports on costs, projections, liabilities, sales, and margins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the project team to negotiate final accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities
