We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering one of Europe's most dynamic highway projects: the M25 London Orbital Motorway, managed by Connect Plus Services (CPS).

This role offers flexibility to work from our offices in either Leatherhead, South Mimms, or Dartford.

CPS is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty, Atkins, and Egis, entrusted with operating and maintaining the M25-the busiest section of motorway in Europe. With over £100 million of annual investment in the highway infrastructure, this project is unlike any other, offering unmatched challenges and opportunities in highways engineering.

What you'll be doing

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing project costs and ensuring value for money, while delivering the high standards expected on the M25 project.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Cost and Measurement Management: Overseeing measurements, valuations, and cost reconciliation for civil engineering works.
2. Contract and Programme Analysis: Reviewing complex contract programmes and preparing procurement strategies.
3. Commercial Reporting: Providing detailed analyses of commercial progress, cost-value reconciliations, and outturn forecasts.
4. Stakeholder Management: Engaging with customers and stakeholders to address commercial aspects within your area of responsibility.
5. Claim Preparation and Negotiation: Preparing, submitting, and negotiating claims in accordance with contract conditions.
6. Mentorship and Leadership: Supporting and mentoring junior team members on their journey to professional chartership.

Who we're looking for

What we are looking for:

1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, including managing commercial teams.
2. A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience.
3. Membership (or progression toward) RICS, ICES, or similar professional bodies.
4. Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Experience with highways or civil engineering projects is advantageous but not essential.
