Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Faversham, Kent office. You will lead commissions from feasibility to final accounts, act as a trusted adviser to clients, and manage tendering, procurement, and reporting with Directors’ support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related qualification.
• Solid client-side construction consultancy experience.
• Proven track record of pre- and post-contract cost management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes and standard construction contracts.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise clients directly.
• MRICS status is advantageous but not essential.
• Proactive, organized approach with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage multiple commissions from feasibility and cost planning through to final account.
• Act as the client's main day-to-day contact and trusted commercial adviser.
• Prepare estimates, Elemental Cost Plans, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation.
• Manage procurement, tender analysis, contract preparation, and negotiations.
• Produce and present project financial and cost reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage interim valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts.
• Lead client, design-team, and project meetings.
• Option to undertake Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent roles where appropriate.
• Mentor and support the development of Graduate and Assistant Surveyors.
