Job summary
Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy Building team in Bath, Somerset. You will assume commercial leadership on a range of projects from £500k to £5m, coordinating among clients, consultants and site teams.
You will manage valuations, budgets, variations and final accounts, while driving cost-saving opportunities and value engineering in live environments. The role offers a competitive salary, car/car allowance, pension and clear career progression
Qualifications
- Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with main contracting or building background.
- Experience managing projects valued between £500k and £10m.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of multiple building projects.
- Lead subcontractor procurement and commercial management.
- Prepare valuations, applications, forecasts and CVRs.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
- Manage variations, claims and commercial risks.
- Negotiate subcontractor and client accounts.
- Lead final account preparation and settlement.
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams.
- Provide guidance and support to junior commercial staff.
