Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a portfolio of civil engineering projects. The role involves taking full commercial responsibility, mentoring junior staff, and providing contractual guidance across project teams.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead commercial reporting, manage change control, and help shape the wider commercial function within a well-established civil engineering business. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a contracting environment is essential.
• Strong background in civil engineering.
• Experience managing multiple projects or a portfolio of works.
• Ability to manage commercial and contractual matters with confidence.
• Proven communication skills across levels.
• Experience mentoring or developing junior commercial team members.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of civil engineering projects.
• Mentor and support members of the commercial team.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project and operational teams.
• Review contractual correspondence and produce commercial reports for senior management.
• Monitor contract compliance and maintain accurate records.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and oversee subcontractor payments.
