Are you a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to lead high-value construction projects from start to finish? We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering major works across the industrial and commercial sectors. Based in Huntingdon, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take full commercial responsibility for your projects—handling everything from cost forecasting and procurement to subcontractor management and client valuations. You’ll be a key player in ensuring financial accuracy, contract compliance, and successful delivery alongside the project and site teams.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage company QS systems and documentation.

  • Keep accurate site records, including photographic evidence.

  • Complete labour allocation sheets in collaboration with site teams.

  • Lead client, design, and project progress meetings.

  • Approve purchase orders and subcontractor packages with proper documentation.

  • Hold TRM meetings with Operations for subcontractor coordination.

  • Draft accurate subcontractor documentation in line with procurement schedules.

  • Measure, price, and negotiate project variations.

  • Complete subcontractor liabilities and provide monthly forecasts.

  • Produce cost projections for labour, plant, staff, and materials.

  • Ensure timely procurement of subcontractors per the schedule.

  • Carry out valuations and issue payment notices accurately and on time.

  • Manage and monitor warranty schedules and external valuations.

  • Work with the team to complete monthly cost reports and forecasts.

  • Maintain main contract compliance and supervise junior QS staff (TQS/AQS).

What You’ll Need


  • Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.

  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

  • Experience with industrial and/or commercial projects.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage workload independently with minimal supervision.
