Job summary

Matchtech client seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support an Engineering Services team on post-contract commercial management for highways, civil engineering, and construction projects. The role blends office, remote, and site work from Winchester, with a 37-hour week on a one-year contract.

Key requirements include NEC4 contract knowledge, solid cost control and budget management, and MRICS status preferred. Travel to project locations will be necessary, with a driving licence required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage cost control of civil engineering and highways projects.
• Establish and monitor project budgets with clients and PMs.
• Determine contractor entitlements and settle final accounts.
• Forecast contract final outturn costs for clients and senior management.
• Implement procurement strategies, including NEC4 frameworks.
• Deliver commercial outcomes for projects and programmes.
• Approve contractor payments and make recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and contract practices.
