Job Description

Our client, a key player in the engineering sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This permanent role will involve managing project delivery on highways maintenance frameworks across London. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced team, overseeing contract administration for NEC contracts.

Primary Duties:
  1. Develop detailed bills of quantities from technical drawings using a customised schedule of rates.
  2. Draft and finalise contracts and subcontracts utilizing standardised documentation templates.
  3. Conduct all contract-related activities through the A-Site platform.
  4. Oversee and administer subcontractor agreements and relationships.
  5. Evaluate and certify monthly payment applications.
  6. Produce regular Cost Value Reconciliations and cash flow projections.
  7. Handle the submission and negotiation of final accounts with clients and suppliers.
  8. Partner with operational teams to drive cost efficiencies, enhance profit margins, and manage potential risks.
  9. Identify and address risks and opportunities related to Compensation Events.
  10. Draft, submit, and negotiate Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Notices of Compensation Events (NCEs) with clients and subcontractors.
  11. Assess subcontractor payment requests and seek approval from the Commercial Manager.
  12. Ensure timely and accurate payments to subcontractors, matching disbursements with client certifications.
  13. Align completed work forecasts with site operations teams.
  14. Provide supporting cost data for client applications.
  15. Prepare and deliver monthly applications with necessary documentation.
  16. Ensure all contract and document records are organized according to the filing system.
  17. Respond promptly to contract communications to meet KPIs.
  18. Support the Commercial Manager with relevant data for reports and forecasts.
  19. Perform additional tasks as reasonably requested.
