Matchtech has partnered with a leading highways maintenance contractor in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client, a key player in the engineering sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This permanent role involves managing project delivery on highways maintenance frameworks across London. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced team, overseeing contract administration for NEC contracts.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop detailed bills of quantities from technical drawings using a customized schedule of rates
  • Draft and finalize contracts and subcontracts using standardized templates
  • Manage all contract activities via the A-Site platform
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements and relationships
  • Evaluate and certify monthly payment applications
  • Produce regular Cost Value Reconciliations and cash flow projections
  • Handle submission and negotiation of final accounts with clients and suppliers
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve cost efficiencies, profit margins, and manage risks

Management of Compensation Events:

  • Identify risks and opportunities proactively
  • Draft, submit, and negotiate Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Notices of Compensation Events (NCEs) with clients and subcontractors

Payment Administration for Supply Chain:

  • Assess subcontractor payment requests and seek approval from the Commercial Manager
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to subcontractors
  • Align work forecasts with site operations
  • Support client applications with cost data

Document Control and Contract Administration:

  • Maintain organized records
  • Respond promptly to contract communications
  • Support the Commercial Manager with data for reports and forecasts

Additional tasks as reasonably requested.
