Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor for the North Hykeham Relief Road project. The role is based in Lincoln and involves commercial responsibilities from cost planning through to final accounts.

The successful candidate will control expenditure, prepare forecasts and manage valuations, variations and compensation events. You will lead a small surveying team, coordinate with the programme, and maintain client relationships while supporting the Commercial Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or related commercial qualification.
• Experience on highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts, forecasting and account settlement.

Responsibilities

• Control expenditure, prepare forecasts and valuations.
• Manage variations, compensation events and financial reports.
• Lead a small surveying team and mentor junior colleagues.
• Coordinate commercial activity with the programme and project team.
• Maintain client relationships and support the Commercial Manager or Managing QS.
