Role purpose:
  • Manage all costs and income within their area of responsibility.
  • Minimise project costs and enhance value for money, while maintaining standards and quality.
  • Experience in managing a small team of commercial staff and mentoring others is desirable.
What you'll be doing

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyze tender documents.
  • Critically appraise, estimate, and negotiate with third parties.
  • Review complex contract programmes such as Time-Location.
  • Assist with delay and disruption programmes.
  • Monitor subcontract activities, measure, and respond appropriately.
  • Prepare internal reports, monitor commercial progress, and financial reconciliation.
  • Understand the Customer Contract and manage customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Analyze rates & prices, and manage variations and compensation events.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate claims.
  • Manage commercial aspects with customers and stakeholders.
  • Perform constructability analyses using construction programmes.
  • Prepare procurement programmes and develop strategies.
Who we're looking for

The following qualifications or their equivalents are essential:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Membership in MRCIS/MCInstCES/MCIOB or working towards it.
  • CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person).
