Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on a diverse UK portfolio. The role covers end-to-end involvement, from early contractor involvement through to handover, ensuring projects are financially viable and compliant.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, drive value, and mentor junior staff while travelling to sites as needed. We welcome flexible patterns, including part-time options around 30 hours per week, and offer opportunities for

Qualifications

• Preferably a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with NEC Contracts is essential.
• Strong numerical and financial management skills.
• Flexible attitude to client environments and travel requirements.
• Driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust cost management processes with timely reports and analysis.
• Work with delivery teams to identify and monitor efficiency plans.
• Challenge the team to drive value for clients in project delivery.
• Explain contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
• Support clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Provide guidance to junior commercial staff and foster relationships.
