Job summary

Artisan Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team in Portsmouth. The role focuses on cost control, value for money and governance across interior, fit-out and refurbishment projects in healthcare, education, and public sectors.

You will work in a structured, framework-driven environment, building strong relationships with operational teams and clients while ensuring accurate pricing and timely reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial/public sector environments.
• Experience delivering projects from £250k to £2.5m+.
• Strong understanding of cost control procedures and commercial management.
• Sound knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial delivery of interior, fit-out and refurbishment projects across healthcare, education and public sector environments.
• Prepare and review valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, applications and final accounts.
• Control variations with accurate pricing and justification.
• Support budgets, cashflow forecasts and cost value reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operational teams to align project delivery with commercial outcomes.
