Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a demolition contractor with a strong East Midlands pipeline. The role covers commercial management, subcontractor oversight, and cost control on multiple projects, with either permanent or freelance options.

Qualifications

• Proven QS or Senior QS experience, ideally within demolition or related sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
• Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and on-site delivery.
• Practical, organized and take ownership of projects.
• Able to work independently and on-site when required.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of demolition and enabling works projects.
• Managing subcontractor packages, valuations and payments.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and protecting project margins.
• Identifying and agreeing variations and additional works.
• Working closely with site teams, Contracts Managers and clients.
• Managing projects from procurement through to final account.
• Supporting estimating and tendering where required.
