Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Industry
Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to work on some of the UK's largest and most high-profile water infrastructure projects? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established consultancy delivering long-term water sector frameworks across the UK.
This is a client-facing role ideal for a Senior QS who enjoys leading from the front. You'll have autonomy to manage your own portfolio of projects while working alongside senior colleagues for support on complex schemes. Projects are part of major capital delivery frameworks, offering long-term security and clear progression.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering full commercial management across infrastructure projects within the water sector
    Supporting procurement, tendering, contract administration, and supplier management
  • Managing project costs, variations, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Certifying contractor payments and resolving any disputes or claims
  • Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes


About you

  • Background in quantity surveying, ideally within utilities, water, or civil engineering
  • Strong experience in cost planning, NEC contracts, procurement, and commercial control
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
  • Chartered (MRICS) or actively working towards chartership
  • Able to attend the Warrington office 3 days a week and travel to local project sites when required (main sites are Warrington & Kendal)
