We are hiring for our client, a well-established construction / manufacturing business, seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to oversee all contractual and financial aspects of new and ongoing projects. This is a pivotal role offering scope to shape commercial strategy, lead a dedicated team, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

The Role
  • Review incoming contracts/subcontracts, assessing risk and liabilities.
  • Lead a team delivering end-to-end contract management: estimating, procurement, valuations, invoicing and final account recovery.
  • Oversee cost control, reporting and dispute resolution.
  • Manage procurement of services, labour and materials, appointing subcontractors.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to maintain service levels.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and comply with IMS standards.
  • Provide accurate finished goods reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Person
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Proven experience with JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel one day per week.
