Job Description:

Senior Quantity Surveyor Bristol in Bristol, a full-time role within the Construction / Industrial & Built Environment industry, offering a salary between £75,000 and £80,000 plus benefits. This role involves managing all commercial aspects of high-value industrial and commercial construction projects, including procurement, subcontractor management, cost forecasting, and valuations. The candidate will work closely with project and site teams to ensure financial control, contract compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing internal QS forms and management systems efficiently.
  • Maintaining detailed site records, including photographs and documentation.
  • Coordinating with site teams on labour allocation.
  • Leading project meetings and client sessions.
  • Approving purchase orders and subcontractor agreements.
  • Conducting TRM meetings for subcontractor packages.
  • Drafting and issuing subcontract documentation.
  • Measuring, pricing, and negotiating project variations.
  • Tracking subcontractor liabilities and forecasts.
  • Preparing cost projections and managing procurement schedules.
  • Carrying out valuations and managing payment notices.
  • Managing warranty schedules and compliance.
  • Delivering client valuations and supporting commercial overvaluing.
  • Preparing reports and forecasts with the commercial team.
  • Mentoring junior surveyors.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to manage workload independently.
