Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its reputable Tier 1 main contractor’s commercial team in the Eastern region. The role is site-based on a £50m+ new build school project for a 3-year term, with oversight from an MQS.

Salary is up to £85,000 with a car allowance, travel to site, bonus scheme, private healthcare, cycle to work and enhanced maternity/paternity benefits. Live within commutable distance to Hertfordshire/Essex.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience at a Main Contractor.
• Degree educated in a construction related subject.
• Experience on education projects is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects of the project to completion.
• Management and final accounting of subcontractor packages.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
• Working closely with the project and commercial team to drive project performance.
• Building strong relationships with subcontractors and key stakeholders.
