Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage contracts and ensure compliance with group procedures. The ideal candidate should possess an HND or degree, have proven experience in similar commercial environments, and be registered with RICS or ICES. Responsibilities

  • Oversee cost reports and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
  • Handle contract administration and identify commercial risks and opportunities.

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance.
- Manage internal commercial reporting and other required reports.
- Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation per the contract.
- Oversee cost reports to the client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
- Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
- Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, from detailed requisitions, monitoring, and authorization of payments to final accounts.
- Handle contract administration, including change management and maintain related registers.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and changes.
- Use cost allocation/coding satisfying internal and external requirements.
- Measure quantities according to standard methods of measurement.
