The ideal candidate should possess an HND or degree, have proven experience in similar commercial environments, and be registered with RICS or ICES. A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance.
- Manage internal commercial reporting and other required reports.
- Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation per the contract.
- Oversee cost reports to the client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
- Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
- Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, from detailed requisitions, monitoring, and authorization of payments to final accounts.
- Handle contract administration, including change management and maintain related registers.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and changes.
- Use cost allocation/coding satisfying internal and external requirements.
- Measure quantities according to standard methods of measurement.
