Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to lead commercial management of MEP works on a major healthcare project. You will drive cost control, contract compliance, and robust supply chain performance throughout the lifecycle, while supporting a wider pipeline of healthcare opportunities within the Dalkia North business.

The role requires strong experience in MEP/ME subcontracting, NEC/JCT contract knowledge, and a proven track record in CVRs, cash flows, and final

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management within MEP/ME subcontracting.
• Proven track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and change management.
• Solid understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts (NEC Option C desirable).
• Experience preparing CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and cost to complete.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider commercial team.
• Experience in live environments (e.g. healthcare) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works on a major healthcare project.
• Carry out measurement and valuation of works, including variations and final accounts.
• Prepare and maintain CVRs, cost reporting, and forecasts.
• Manage cash flow and maximise commercial performance.
• Procure, manage, and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal governance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain, and internal teams.
• Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.

What You Will Bring

About You

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent in a relevant discipline


• Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E / building services


• Strong knowledge of monthly reporting and commercial processes


• Excellent time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines


• Collaborative, supportive, and proactive mindset


• RICS chartership (or working towards) desirable


• Valid CSCS card


• Right to work in the UK
