Qualifications

• Experience in Nuclear, Civil Engineering, or Engineering sectors is preferred.
• Professional qualifications or membership in relevant institutes like RICS or CIOB are desirable.
• Experience managing contractor engagement and financial reporting.
• Professional qualifications/membership in RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or similar desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate NEC and ensure compliance with contract processes.
• Liaise with design teams for commercial considerations in design decisions.
• Manage contractor engagement alongside clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee performance of a small commercial team.
• Ensure alignment across stakeholders regarding budgets and risks.
• Provide cost planning and budget monitoring throughout the project.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and cash flow analysis.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Warrington, England, United Kingdom

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor with a demonstrable background delivering major projects within the construction industry. In this role you will support the nuclear decommissioning space and ensure safe storage of radioactive waste.

Your responsibilities

• Operate NEC and other forms of contract and ensure compliance with contract processes and timelines
• Liaise with design and planning teams to embed commercial considerations in early design decisions
• Manage contractor and supplier engagement alongside the client and key stakeholders
• Support or lead a small commercial team, setting clear goals and overseeing performance
• Ensure clear communication and alignment across stakeholders regarding budgets, risks, and contractual obligations
• Provide cost planning, budget monitoring, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for client reporting

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, in the Nuclear, Civil Engineering or Engineering (including Service Contracting) sectors
• Advanced experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite
• Ideally HNC, HND or degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management, Construction Law or a similar discipline; candidates with an alternative background such as Engineering may also be considered if they possess significant on‑the‑job experience
• Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable
