About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

The business prides themselves on their proven track record of superior build quality and exceptional market presence. Leading the fight against the UK's affordable housing crisis, our client is searching for an outstanding Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on a multi-phase affordable housing project in Margate, Kent. The desired candidate will be required to maximise profitability whilst maintaining client and subcontractor relationship. You will be responsible for managing all post contract commercial activities, working closely with operational teams and client representatives. This is a key position on a long-term project where your ability to manage costs, forecast accurately and maintain strong relationships that will drive commercial success. On offer is flexible hybrid working with a balance of site presence and remote work to suit project needs and work life balance. Large PLC experience is a necessity whilst also being available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue clear, detailed and timely invoices
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs
  • Carry out monthly valuations
  • Assess and value variations and subcontractor accounts
  • Liaise with project managers and clients to ensure financial efficiency and contract compliance
  • Preparation of financial reports including margin analysis reports, cash flow forecasts and de-brief reports
  • Must be Competent in using COINS

Whilst on an initial 6-month Freelance contract, the likelihood for future projects and contract extension is possible.
