Job summary

Frontier Resourcing is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to support pivotal energy transition projects in the UK, delivering end-to-end commercial and cost control services across project lifecycles.

This is a full-time, permanent role, mainly remote with occasional travel. You will manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts, forecasts, cost reporting, value engineering, and stakeholder liaison to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong commercial and contract management skills, especially within NEC frameworks.
  • Track record in consultancy environments or client-facing roles.
  • Extensive experience in cost management or quantity surveying within energy, renewables, hydrogen, transmission and distribution or carbon capture.

  • Lead full-cycle cost management across project lifecycles—from tendering and procurement through to contract negotiation, cost control, and final account settlement.
  • Administer NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred), overseeing valuations, change control, and cost variance coordination. Pre and Post Contract experience is essential for this position.
  • Provide robust forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of cost performance; ensure accurate and timely financial insights.
  • Drive value engineering and cost optimisation strategies in alignment with project and client needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with client teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Job description

We are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to support our clients pivotal projects. This role is instrumental in delivering end-to-end commercial and cost control services for transformational projects that support the UK’s energy transition strategy.

This position is on a full time, permanent staff basis.

This particular project will be working within Transmission and Distribution and will be mainly remote with some travel required at times.

Key Responsibilities
