Senior Quantity Surveyor - Dalry, Ayrshire (12-Month FTC, On-Site)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major project for a leading UK construction and engineering group in Dalry, Ayrshire. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, fully site-based, offering the opportunity to work on a high-value, complex project in a regulated environment.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing cost and contract administration, including payment assessments, cost reporting, change control, and compliance with NEC4 contracts. You'll play a key role in supporting project delivery, ensuring commercial performance, and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer contracts and subcontracts, including payments, variations, and forecasting.
  • Negotiate terms and manage claims, variations, and contract close-outs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Provide commercial support to project teams and ensure accurate cost reporting.
  • Contribute to safety and quality initiatives from a commercial perspective.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or regulated sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK procurement legislation.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying; RICS membership preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS, SAP, or Ariba is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work on-site.
