We are working with a major leader in critical infrastructure delivery who is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs of a project from initial calculations through to final figures, ensuring the minimisation of costs and maximisation of value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee tasks and processes, taking full ownership and accountability for your work and the roles of others, while exercising broad autonomy and judgement within set parameters.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager or Commercial Manager to manage relevant commercial aspects of project sections.
  • Protect the company's commercial position by applying deep understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes.
  • Foster and maintain effective client relationships, facilitating smooth commercial progression of contracts.
  • Provide leadership, support, and development to other members of the commercial team.
  • Maintain a high level of commercial and technical expertise, collaborating with the delivery team to create solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Prepare subcontract invitations to tender, evaluate tender returns, and make recommendations for appointments, ensuring subcontracts are placed accurately and on time.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
