Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Venn Group is currently partnering with a leading construction company based in North Wales to recruit for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong industry reputation and a diverse project portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of various construction projects, ensuring cost control, value for money, and high-quality delivery.

Location: St Asaph

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum (plus car allowance and benefits)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 41 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Pattern: Office-based

The duties will include:

• Prepare procurement schedules, cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Manage subcontractor accounts, negotiate contracts, valuations, and payments
• Deliver accurate and timely CVRs, final cost forecasts, and cost analysis reports
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to ensure projects stay within budget
• Prepare and settle final accounts, including contractual claims and variations
• Collaborate closely with Contracts Managers, Site Teams, and Clients to ensure effective project delivery
• Monitor progress and performance, managing expenditure and maintaining commercial control

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS in construction
• Relevant Level 4 qualification or higher in a construction-related field
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management ability
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and numerical skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
