Join the thriving and dynamic United Living Property Services team in Swanley, Kent! We are a rapidly growing business looking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor to contribute to our success. This role offers a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, ideal for those seeking skill development within an industry-leading organisation.

The successful candidate will serve as the commercial lead on projects, responsible for their commercial success while adhering to administrative procedures. This role primarily involves the special projects division, focusing on cladding remediation projects and fire remediation in high-risk buildings across the south.

The role promotes a collaborative environment with clients and manages subcontractor and supply chain accounts.

Contract Management Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
  • Manage and process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, rights, and obligations.
  • Report monthly to senior management using the CVR process.
  • Coordinate changes and manage variations per JCT Contracts.
  • Assess the impact of changes and liability exposure.
Contract Administration:
  • Monitor and track contract obligations.
  • Conduct site visits to administer contracts aligned with project progress.
  • Monitor and report on contract performance regarding program, cost, and key issues.
  • Perform contract closeout, ensuring all terms are met and payments verified.
  • Handle forms, reports, clearances, and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and subcontractors in all duties.
Budget Management:
  • Evaluate the impact of budget changes with the project team.
  • Report cost variances.
  • Compile Defined Cost Records for client audits.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports.
  • Generate Earned Value Analysis reports.
  • Review and validate weekly cost monitors against actual costs.
  • Prepare monthly valuations.
  • Maintain change registers.
  • Provide commercial data for reports.

Additional requirements include:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and managing large data sets.
  • This is a full-time, permanent role, 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, based in Swanley.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with other departments for broad industry experience.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the South East.
