A well-established contractor in South Ribble is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage high-value projects. You'll take the commercial lead on RC frame and groundwork packages, ensure contract compliance, and contribute to mentoring junior surveyors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RC frame or high-end fit-out. Competitive salary and career progression exist within a stable team.

Key Responsibilities
Take commercial lead on RC frame, groundwork, and high-spec fit-out packages (typically £5m £20m in value).
Manage the full surveying process including cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Negotiate and manage subcontractor packages and ensure timely payments.
Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management.
Work closely with delivery teams and clients to ensure profitability and contract compliance.
Contribute to risk management, value engineering, and strategic procurement.
Support and mentor junior surveyors as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a experienced Quantity Surveyor role.
Strong background in RC frame, groundworks, or high-end fit-out (hotels, commercial, or residential).
Excellent commercial acumen and working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
Confident communicator able to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects or phases concurrently.
