Job description

We’re partnering with a leading Specialist Fit-Out Subcontractor as they look for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

About The Client:

  • Based in West Lothian.
  • The business turnover circa 10m.
  • They specialise in joinery up to £4 million in value.
  • This client truly values their staff and want to create an excellent working environment and have even introduced a 4 DAY working week for office staff. So, you will work 4 days per week, but you will be paid for 5.

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Managing and developing two Assistant/Quantity Surveyors
  • Overseeing costs and creating comprehensive project cost plans.
  • Handling commercial aspects of ongoing projects.
  • Engaging with design and operational teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Preparing valuations, generating commercial reports, and identifying variations.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified within relevant subject (Quantity Surveying).
  • Exposure working within a Subcontractor would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working on Fit Out Projects.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Contracts such as NEC/JCT etc.
