Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction projects.
• Strong background in remediation, cladding, refurbishment, or high-rise developments.
• Client-side experience, ideally within Local Government, Housing, or Public Sector environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly assess commercial risks.
• Chartered status desirable but not essential.

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who thrives in challenging project environments and can confidently protect client interests on complex residential schemes? This is an opportunity to join a busy team reporting directly into the Strategic Lead, taking ownership of a high-profile remediation project requiring immediate commercial expertise.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in driving commercial outcomes on a complex residential development involving remediation, cladding, and high‑rise works. You'll be brought in to tackle a backlog of variations and RFIs, challenge contractors robustly, and ensure value for money is achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands‑on Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working autonomously, and delivering results in a demanding and often contentious stakeholder environment.

Your Role as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Manage valuations, variations, pricing submissions, and final account negotiations
• Lead on resolving a substantial backlog of variations and RFIs
• Defend commercial interests and challenge costs where appropriate
• Provide commercial oversight across complex remediation, cladding, and high‑rise residential works
• Build effective relationships whilst managing difficult and sensitive contractor discussions

Your Previous Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction projects
• Strong background in building remediation, cladding, refurbishment, or high‑rise developments
• Proven client‑side experience, ideally within Local Government, Housing, or Public Sector environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly assess commercial risks
• Chartered status desirable but not essential
