Job description

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction company. This role involves overseeing the financial management of multiple projects, ensuring accurate measurement, valuation, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness and experience working within contract frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the timely and accurate measurement and valuation of works, attending valuation meetings with clients, producing financial forecasts and reports, and managing subcontractor procurement, including approvals and payments. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, overseeing direct labour and plant subcontractor payments, and preparing take-offs and bills of quantities for tender submissions.

Qualifications and Experience
A proven track record in a commercial environment, ideally holding an HND, degree, or equivalent. Competence in construction processes, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience working with contract documentation. Strong contracting and commercial skills are essential.

Personal Skills
Excellent communication, decision-making, and time management skills. The ability to work under pressure, support colleagues, and maintain a professional approach.Holds a valid UK driving license.
