About the Company:

A leading Building contractor in South Down are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role will be responsible for leading on projects up to the valued between £30m - £50m all commercial aspects.

You will report to the Director within the company and have a pivotal role in the commercial management of projects.

The Role:

• The Senior QS will take on responsibility for numerous projects and work closely with the project team throughout delivery.
• Cost Management, ensuring the projects remains in budget.
• Prepare tendering projects.
• Providing support within Project Monitoring.
• Contract Administration.
• Effective management of main contract and subcontract accounts.
• Preparing interim valuations, identifying and valuing variations.
• Dealing with Contractual matters.

Requirements:

• Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
• 10+ years’ experience with Main Contractor.
• Experience leading/managing projects up to the value of £20 million.
• Use of own initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft excel and project.
• Sound commercial awareness.
• High levels of organisational skills and meeting deadlines.
• Travel to site will be required.
• Clean Drivers’ license.
