Job summary

Aqua Consultants in the UK are seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager for hybrid work. You will lead projects from inception to completion, act as the client focal point, and drive NEC-based contract management with rigorous cost control.

Experience in water utilities is preferred; MRICS/MCICES progression is desired, with a competitive salary and extensive benefits package. Join a fast-growing firm committed to career progression.

Qualifications

• NEC3/4 working knowledge.
• Project cost management skills including organisational and diligent skills.
• Water Industry or wider utilities experience.
• Working towards MRICS / MCICES.

Responsibilities

• Handle projects from inception to completion.
• Be the main client contact and build confidence with clients.
• Manage infrastructure projects, ideally using NEC contracts.
• Provide estimating and cost planning support.
• Offer procurement advice and manage contract administration and cost control.
• Prepare final accounts and cost reporting.
• Attend meetings and conduct site visits.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for projects from inception to completion.
• Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence for with clients.
• Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of contract.
• Estimating and cost planning.
• Procurement advice.
• Contract administration and cost control.
• Cost reporting.
• Final account preparation.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
• Hold a professional membership with RICS.
• Client facing and confident in leading meetings.
• Managing and take lead on multiple projects for their clients.
• Other appropriate Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management duties required.
• Liaising with Clients and Contractors on a daily basis to ensure the timely communication and collation of information.

Qualifications

Skills and experience:

• NEC3/4 working knowledge
• Project cost management skills including organisational and diligent skills
• Water Industry or wider utilities experience
• Working towards MRICS / MCICES
