Job summary

The Abbey is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on civil infrastructure projects. The role focuses on delivering schemes up to 100m+ and managing NEC-based contracts, procurement and key commercial relationships across highways, earthworks, drainage and structures.

A track record of long-term progression within organisations is essential; freelancing is discouraged. Based in the UK with hybrid working options, the role offers a salary of 75,000–85,000 per annum (DOE)

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contractor delivering projects up to 100m+.
• Strong experience with NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial relationships.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure schemes.
• Proven track record delivering civil engineering projects including highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and associated infrastructure works.
• Ability to demonstrate long-term commitment and progression within previous organisations (not freelance).

My client is a multidisciplinary civil engineering contractor operating nationally with a turnover in the region of 500m. Their Civil Infrastructure division is a key area of growth for the business, providing excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Criteria:

• Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contractor delivering projects up to 100m+ in value.
• Strong experience working with NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial relationships.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure schemes.
• Proven track record delivering civil engineering projects including highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and associated infrastructure works.

Ability to demonstrate long-term commitment and progression within previous organisations (this role is not suited to freelance professionals).
