Job Description
United Utilities have awarded Costain a Managed Service Provider (MSP) framework contract. Under the contract Costain provide the overall management and delivery of United Utilities' larger-scale water and wastewater asset maintenance activities across the entirety of its network, including 96 water treatment and 575 wastewater treatment sites, which serves over six million people in the Northwest of England.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the dynamic Core Project Team on the Framework, which delivers critical and complex infrastructure improvements for our client United Utilities. Projects range in value and the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be directly responsible for the commercial management of a portfolio of projects.
The role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. You will lead and develop where necessary the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence and ensure the compliance of all contractual activities on the project. You will ensure contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified to the Project Director / Commercial Manager and address in a timely manner.
The role is based around Hybrid working within our Manchester Office and home and ideally you will be based in or around the North West, where you will have the opportunity to visit operational sites across the region.
