Managing Quantity Surveyor for a Water Contractor – AMP 8

We are partnered with an exciting specialist water contractor that has secured long-term work on multiple AMP8 frameworks.

The client is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the team, working closely with the Commercial Manager. The role involves managing a team of 2-3 QS’s and helping to establish and implement commercial operations and processes during this busy period.

Ideal candidates will have diverse experience in senior or managing roles, with a passion for leadership and mentoring.

We are looking for someone who is a creative thinker, proactive in proposing ideas and solutions, and experienced in setting up commercial operations, although a positive attitude and willingness to learn are also valued.

This position offers excellent security for the next 5 years and significant responsibilities, suitable for someone eager to make a substantial impact in the water industry.

Requirements include:

  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in relevant sectors such as Water, MEICA, M&E, Nuclear, Civils, etc.
  • Experience mentoring or leading QS teams
  • Creativity and proactive approach to commercial processes
  • Ability to commute to Bedford at least 2 days per week (3 days remote)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to think outside the box
