Location: Stratford, London (Hybrid working - office/site and remote mix)

About the Role

Are you a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for experienced professionals to join a dynamic commercial team delivering a broad portfolio of rail infrastructure projects.

With flexible hybrid options, you'll take ownership of key commercial functions, supporting project delivery from procurement through to final account - all while helping shape the future of transport infrastructure in the Eastern region.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage the financial and contractual performance of multiple rail projects

  • Lead on change control, risk/opportunity management, and contract administration (NEC)

  • Conduct procurement processes and develop strong supplier relationships

  • Monitor project costs and prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts

  • Manage subcontractor payments and prepare/assess compensation events and claims

  • Attend project meetings and site visits, contributing to progress and commercial reviews

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and contract requirements

  • Mentor and support junior team members as part of a collaborative, high-performing team

What You'll Need
  • Proven success in a Quantity Surveying role (ideally in civil engineering or rail)

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

  • NEC contract experience is essential

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Proficiency with cost management tools and software

  • Membership with RICS or CICES (preferred)

  • Understanding of Lean principles (beneficial but not essential)
