Apple Technical Recruitment is working alongside a well-regarded Main Contractor operating across London in the Residential, Commercial, Science, and Leisure sectors. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Management team. The role involves working on a project currently in the pre-construction phase and then moving to on-site commercial management.

The position offers a clear pathway for progression, with full support for further professional development and training.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage daily commercial functions, including measurement & valuations, payment applications, account reconciliation, sub-contract orders, and enquiries, up to practical completion of the project.

Experience with both JCT and NEC contracts is advantageous, as projects will involve both contract types.

• Minimum 10 years+ experience (post-graduation) as a QS.
• Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience procuring subcontractors are advantageous.
• Previous roles: Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Assistant Commercial Manager, or Project Surveyor.

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, NVQ Level 6 or above, or a comparable qualification.
