Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Project Lead)

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Norfolk (project in West Norfolk)

Start Date: Oct 2025

Salary: c£80k-£85k basic plus competitive package inc car or allowance, healthcare, bonus, pension etc.

A profitable and long standing Main Contractor with an excellent reputation across East Anglia and a healthy project pipeline are looking for talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business to lead a c£45m project in West Norfolk, currently in PCSA stage.

The business is looking for a professional to join who is keen to progress their career and work on projects between c£30m-£50m in the local market.

The company has an excellent staff retention rate, with a clear structure and programme in place for their employees personal development, this role is to join as the Commercial Lead with a clear pathway to Managing Quantity Surveyor level within the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts - for specific packages on the project, working with the commercial team.

Previous experience leading projects in excess of £30m as the Number 1 QS is essential for this position.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience using JCT and NEC Contracts would be advantageous in addition to working on 2-stage tenders/procurement.

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum 10 years+ experience as an Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience managing individual projects in single value of c£30m+.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or Comparable qualification.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Senior QS OR Commercial Lead OR Project Surveyor.

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Quantity Surveying or comparable qualification.
